My team jokingly calls my conference room the "aquarium" because the walls are all glass so people can see what I'm working on. It fits our culture of openness.

For April Fools' Day, they wrapped the whole conference room in aquarium gift wrapping paper. I almost expected water and fish to spill out when I opened the door.

Over the years, the team has filled the room with balls and balloons. But I have to say this is the biggest present I've ever gotten to unwrap.

Thanks guys and Happy April Fools' Day everyone!

Elaine Santana Hi Mark Zuckerberg I would like to give you an advice about news feed... It's too populated with images, videos and etc that the simple "what is on your mind" from our friends is becoming something so light and invisible. I mean, sometimes my friends write interesting things however is so "difficult" to see that.. There are other things in our news feed that catch our eye more than one simple text from our friends.. Please help us . Thank you. From BRAZIL

Hastin Nuraini April Fools' Day (sometimes called All Fools' Day) is celebrated every year on 1 April by playing practical jokes and spreading hoaxes. The jokes and their victims are called April fools. People playing April Fool jokes expose their prank by shouting April Fool. Some newspapers, magazines, and other published media report fake stories, which are usually explained the next day or below the news section in small letters. Although popular since the 19th century, the day is not a public holiday in any country.

Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales (1392) contains the first recorded association between 1 April and foolishness. << http://www.infoplease.com/spot/aprilfools1.html << http://www.macrumors.com/.../happy-april-fools-day-2016.../ << http://www.mirror.co.uk/.../april-fools-day-live-best... << https://www.zawya.com/.../Dubai_Shopping_Festival_2016.../ << There will likely come a day, sometime in the not-too-distant future, when we look back on wrapping paper with the kind of retrospective condescension we reserve for the most naive elements of our history. Wasting precious paper—killing trees—for decoration! Spending money on a total frivolity! How ridiculous people were back then!

And it is true: The money we spend on it notwithstanding—$2.6 billion annually, per one estimate—there is something quite trivial about wrapping paper. As much as half of the 85 million tons of paper products Americans consume each year, apparently, goes toward packaging, wrapping, and decorating objects—and wrapping paper and shopping bags on their own account for about 4 million tons of the trash we create annually in the U.S. In Britain, per one estimate, people throw away 226,800 miles of wrapping paper over the holidays alone—enough to stretch nine times around the world.<< http://www.wsj.com/.../SB10001424052748703727804576017742...

Mats Andre Dude, and I hope you accept my playful insubordination, your whole public career has been a glass conference room, and for that, I think I speak for MANY when I say, thank you. This whole facebook thing has been new, though 10 years in... it's just been a new thing, for all of us. A major theme in the existence of this universe, has been increasing connectivity. Facebook, to me, has been the quinessential culmination of such. I'm so thankful for eager, kind, and insightful spirits like yourself in my lifetime, along with countless others, hopefully myself, and many others reading this. While like any meritable accomplishment in this life, Facebook will be judged, I myself have had a few judgements. However, I must say, I always have respected your 'glass conference' view to one of mankinds greatest creations. While of the 100's of ammendments, there have been a few that individually, we disagree with; I can honestly say there was due warning/coarse for appeal thoughout. Not looking for facebook points, but just to come right with my soul, in part, honouring ALL of those involved in the spirited actions I one day hope to achieve. God bless you and your family Mark Zuckerberg, thank you.

Georgia Holmes Thanks, Mark, for the April Fools Greeting, and a belated one to you!
Don Chen Mark, at least you didn't go the route of Gates... marrying an employee of his company. That would be considered unethical (like a Professor dating one of his students). But when you're the richest man in the world (even though you swindled your friends and then proceeded to steal the OS from guy who wrote the code for MS-DOS. Then again he stole the format from Apple (who bought the drop-down menu system from Xerox)... But he's rich and now tries to repent because married Melinda. Intellectual theft is still theft. Right Mark... because you stole the idea for "The Facebook" from the twins... or am I not correct? You made it better, but the idea was conceptually not yours. Einstein wrote E=mc^2. Newton wrote F=ma. You and Gates intellectually stole ideas from other people and you get rewarded with billions of $. Jobs at least had his own vision and brilliant ideas. Well, he died of pancreatic cancer. But, Alexander the Great died of an infection/ or the flu... nobody is quite sure. Hannibal's elephants got sick crossing the Alps. Captain James Cook died in Hawaii by viscous native Hawaiians. Go figure.
Don Chen Oh, and Mark... he didn't steal ideas from anybody. Real heroes, who have made lasting contributions to world history rarely get rich and rarely ride on the backs of others. Think about Gabriel Garcia Marques. Picasso, Hemingway, Steinbeck, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin didn't come from privilege..

He will ban good normal people from posting anything against horrible gays and violent blacks and muslim terrorists. Yet those abnormal people can trash whites and Christians all day without punishment.
Carlos Calina You really want to know what I think about social media like your Facebook? I don't believe that you created it, I think it was made by USA, with the inestimable help of others main nations of the world. You are just the FACE to show, the fake owner. The main objective of this? Manipulate and monitor all the people of the world. Call me crazy, but it's the way I think.
